Kathi Herrmann is the Marketing Director for Mount Pleasant Towne Centre. She creates and implements marketing programs for the 500,000+ square foot outdoor mixed-use shopping center, including events such as Lights Up, Fall Festival, Play Dayz, Live Under The Oaks, Pink Promenade, and Pup Bowl. Previously she was the Director of Marketing for four regional shopping centers on Long Island, New York for Simon Property Group, including Roosevelt Field, the 9th largest shopping center in the United States. Kathi has been in the shopping center marketing industry for more than 20 years. 

Kathi majored in Marketing and received a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT. 

Kathi and her husband Danny, relocated to Mount Pleasant in February, 2016 and spend their time with their incredibly cute rescue shepherd mutt Herbie.   

Amanda Bunting Comen grew up in Charleston, SC and graduated from the College of Charleston. An internship began her nonprofit career that morphed into marketing. 

In January 2019 Social ABCs was born to help small businesses and nonprofits with their social media management and strategy, public relations and other marketing needs to focus more on their business.

Amanda is a Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce Leadership Charleston graduate and named one of Charleston Regional Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 winners. She was a finalist for the Charleston American Marketing Association 2018 Spark! Awards for Best Twitter Presence, Best Facebook Presence and again in 2022 for Best Social Media Campaign. She was recently named one of the Top 3 Public Relations Firms in the Charleston Regional Business Journal Reader Rankings 2023 Official Business Choice Awards. 

Mike Compton is the President and Co-Founder of rūmbo Advertising. He serves as the Marketing Chair for the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce as well as the Director of Membership Experience for the Charleston American Marketing Association. 

After graduating from Michigan State University, he traded the Midwest for the Sunshine State in 2001 to start a multimedia producer career in Tampa, FL, where he led content production for brands of all kinds, from local non-profits to nationally known corporations.

In 2013, Compton co-founded a video production company called Three Chairs Productions. Three Chairs was acquired by rūmbo Advertising in 2021 to help bolster its content creation services and help find the soul of our partner’s brands.

Rebecca is the first Director for the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce (MPCC) 
helping to lead and grow an organization of 400 business and community members East of the Cooper by developing programs and networking opportunities and establishing collaborative partnerships. As Director, she has established relationships with key state, regional, and local leaders partnering with MPCC to create opportunities for meaningful engagement for the MPCC membership. She has also helped establish programs in partnership with the Town of Mount Pleasant to help businesses address challenges.. She loves helping individuals and organizations grow and thrive!

She has lived in Mount Pleasant for 25 years and has been a leader in the Charleston and East Cooper communities. She is the current PR Chair and Board member of the Bands of Wando Foundation and serves on the School Improvement Council for Wando High School.
